DIY Deodorant for Sensitive Skin

I have to admit that it took me a long time to switch to a natural deodorant. In fact the thought of it made me shutter in horror. After a lot of research and several futile attempts, I finally found a formulation that worked for me.

Ingredients:

    ½ cup Coconut oil (solid state)
    2 tablespoons baking soda
    ½ cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch (arrowroot is preferred)
    ½ cup beeswax (firmly packed)
    3 clean and empty deodorant stick type containers
    Optional: Essential Oils i.e.. Lavender, Peppermint, Grapefruit, Sweet Orange

Directions:

    Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and gently stir over low heat until melted and well combined.

    Optional: Add Essential Oils and mix thoroughly

    Pour the liquid into the deodorant containers and fill to the top. (Make sure the bottoms of the container has been twisted all the way down) or pour into 125ml mason jars with lids and apply with fingers for each use.
    Makes about 1 cup or 3 deodorant sticks or 3 small containers.
